Discord

  1. Open Discord App or Website: Launch the Discord app on your mobile device or desktop, or visit the Discord website. Ensure you’re logged into your Discord account and have access to a server where you can stream.

  2. Select Voice Channel: Join a voice channel in a server where you have permission to stream. You’ll need to be in a voice channel to start a stream.

  3. Start Streaming: Once you’re in a voice channel, click on the “Voice Connected” button at the bottom left corner of the app or click on the voice channel name at the bottom of the server list on the left side of the screen (on desktop). Then, select “Go Live.”

  4. Choose Your Stream Settings: A window will pop up allowing you to choose your stream settings. You can select your voice and video input devices, adjust stream quality, and add a stream title.

  5. Check Your Camera and Microphone: Make sure your camera and microphone are enabled and working properly. You can do this by testing them in the settings of your streaming software or app.

  6. Set Up Your Stream (Optional): If you’re using streaming software like OBS Studio or Streamlabs OBS, set up your scenes, sources, and other elements for your stream. Make sure your Discord account is connected to your streaming software.

  7. Start Your Stream: Once you’ve configured your stream settings and set up your software (if applicable), click on the “Go Live” button to start broadcasting. Discord will notify members of the server that you’re live.

  8. Interact with Viewers: During your stream, members of the server can join your stream and interact with you through chat. Monitor the chat and respond to messages and questions from your viewers to engage with your audience.

  9. End Your Stream: When you’re ready to finish your stream, click on the “Stop Streaming” button at the bottom left corner of the screen. Discord will prompt you to confirm that you want to end the stream.

  10. Review Your Stream: After ending your stream, you can review stream statistics and other information in the server’s voice channel list. You can also save your streams or share them with others.
